A message from Rowan Little League
Dear Parents, Players, Coaches and Volunteers :
We are all in this together .. #BeSafe #WeAdapt
Little League International has recently extended its recommended delay of the 2020 season until at least May 11. We shall also support this decision.
When asked why youth sports are so important, our answers tend to follow common themes: the benefits of physical exercise, the motivation of competition, the character built from countless hours of practice. But none of these, we say, are more important that the lessons of teamwork – that individual goals are less important than collective ones, that no team victory comes without individual sacrifice, and that we are far greater together than the sum of our parts.
Baseball/Softball, we say, is like life. We suggest to the youth baseball/softball communities that this is the time to live those words. If we apply the lessons we have learned from playing the greatest game of all to this moment, we will achieve the best outcome for the greatest team of all. We urge everyone to take SOCIAL DISTANCING
seriously, to practice diligent hygiene routines, and to help those around us who can’t help themselves. The better we do this now, together, the sooner we will be back on the ball fields, where we all belong.
Take Care and #BeSafe
